Never miss another call.
Never lose another customer.

Valence builds virtual receptionists and websites for local businesses, using AI. Yours answers every call on the first ring, 24/7 — booking appointments, answering the questions you get asked a hundred times a week, and texting you the details before the caller has hung up.

No website either? We build those too — and waive the build fee if you take both.

The math

Every missed call is a customer
calling someone else.

You're on a job, mid-appointment, or asleep. The phone rings out. That caller doesn't leave a voicemail — they scroll down and dial the next business on the list. Move the sliders and put a number on it.

Revenue walking out the door

$99,840

per year  ·  $8,320 per month

A Valence receptionist starts at $200/month. At these numbers, it pays for itself if it saves 1 call a month.

Illustrative only — this calculator uses the numbers you enter, not a claim about your results. Your own call log is the real answer.

How it works

Three steps. About a week.

You don't set anything up, and you don't learn a dashboard. We build it around how your business already runs.

We learn your business

One call. Your hours, your services, your prices, the questions you're sick of answering, and exactly how you want calls handled — including the ones that should reach you immediately.

~30 minutes of your time

We build and test it

We write your receptionist's script, pick a voice that fits your business, and connect your calendar. Then you call it yourself and try to break it. We tune it until you're happy.

3–5 days, no work on your end

It goes live

Forward your line — all calls, after-hours only, or just the ones you don't pick up in four rings. Every call comes back to you as a text summary. That's it.

Same day you say go
What it does

A receptionist that actually
knows your business.

Not a phone tree. Not "press 1 for service." A real conversation that ends with something useful on your calendar.

Answers on the first ring

24/7, holidays included. No hold music, no voicemail, no "we're currently closed."

Books into your calendar

Checks real availability and writes the appointment straight into the calendar you already use.

Texts you every call

Who called, what they wanted, their number, and what was promised — within seconds of hanging up.

Knows your prices and services

Trained on your actual rates, service area, policies, and the twenty questions you answer every day.

Sounds like your business

You choose the voice and the tone. A tattoo studio shouldn't answer the phone like a dental office.

Transfers the urgent ones

Real emergency or a caller who asks for you by name? It warm-transfers to your cell on the rules you set.

Kills spam and sales calls

Robocalls and "I'm calling about your Google listing" never make it to your phone.

30 languages to choose from

Pick the language your receptionist answers in — or more than one, if half your neighbourhood calls in Spanish and the other half doesn't.

Hear it

What your callers actually experience.

Call the number below and talk to one yourself. Or read three calls that happen at every local business every week.

Answering right now

Don't take our word for it. Go and call one.

That number reaches our own receptionist — the same thing we'd build for you. Ask what we charge. Try to book something. Talk over it, change your mind halfway through, ask it something it shouldn't know. Do what a real customer would do and see how it holds up.

Call (318) 590-8271

It's a virtual receptionist, not a person. This demo line records nothing — no audio, no transcript, just a count of how many people called. Answering 24/7; your usual call charges apply.

Inbound · 9:14 PM · Tuesday

Also: websites

No website? That's the
other half of the problem.

A receptionist can only answer the people who already found you. Plenty of good local businesses are still running on a Facebook page and word of mouth — quietly losing everyone who searched, found nothing solid, and called the next name down the list.

Found, not just online

We set up your Google Business Profile properly, so you turn up on the map when someone searches your trade near them. That's where local work actually comes from.

Built for the phone first

Your customer is standing in a car park looking at a cracked screen. That's the version we design first, not an afterthought squeezed down from a desktop layout.

Every enquiry reaches you

A contact form that lands in your inbox and doesn't quietly fail. On the combined plan it reaches your receptionist too, so nothing waits until you next check email.

Changes without a ticket queue

New prices, new hours, a photo of the new van, closing early on Friday. Text us and it's live the same week — not filed behind someone else's backlog.

Pricing

Cheaper than the calls you're missing.

Flat monthly price. No per-minute billing, no surprise invoice at the end of a busy month. Take one, or take both and skip the build fee.

Everything is month-to-month. No setup fees, no contracts. Cancel any time — we unforward your number the same day, and your website is yours to take. Tell us what you run and we'll say which of these actually fits.

I started Valence after watching good local businesses lose real work for one stupid reason: nobody could get to the phone.

Answering services charge like law firms and read off a script. Most AI phone products hand you a dashboard and wish you luck. Neither one actually solves it for a five-person shop.

So we do the opposite. We build your receptionist by hand, around how your business actually runs — and then we stay on the hook for it.

FAQ

The questions everyone asks.

Some will, some won't — and we'd rather be straight with you about that than oversell it. It sounds natural, it doesn't do phone-tree menus, and it handles interruptions and accents well.

Our recommendation is not to hide it. The callers who care are almost always reassured when it says something like "I'm the virtual assistant for Miller Plumbing, I can book you in right now." What people actually hate is voicemail, not automation.

It says so, takes the caller's details, and tells them exactly when you'll call back — then texts you immediately. It doesn't guess, and it doesn't invent a price.

If the question keeps coming up, we add it. Your receptionist gets better every month it runs.

No. You keep your number and forward it — every call, after-hours only, or just the ones you don't pick up within a few rings. Your choice, and you can change it any time.

Turning it off is a single setting on your carrier. You're never locked in by your phone line.

Usually about a week from our first call. That's one 30-minute conversation with you, 3–5 days of building and testing on our end, and then you call it yourself and tell us what to fix before it ever talks to a real customer.

Usually not — it covers them. Most of our setups take the overflow: after hours, weekends, lunch, and the second and third calls that come in while your person is already on the line.

The point isn't to remove a human. It's that no call goes unanswered when the human is busy.

Google Calendar and Outlook out of the box. For booking and CRM software, tell us what you run — most of the common tools in home services, health, and beauty can connect, and where they can't we hand the booking to you as a text and email you can act on in one tap.

Ask us about your specific setup before you pay for anything. If we can't make it work well, we'll say so.

No. Every plan is month-to-month. Cancel whenever and we'll unforward your number the same day.

The one-time build fee covers the custom work of setting your receptionist up, so that part isn't refundable once we've built it — but you'll hear it and approve it before it takes a single real call.

Fair question, and we'd rather answer it than dodge it. We're early — which means you get the founder's cell number, changes turned around in hours instead of sprints, and a lot more attention than you'd get as one of ten thousand accounts.

You also risk very little. Your number stays yours, you approve the receptionist before it goes live, and you can switch it off in a minute. Start it on after-hours calls only and see what it catches.
