Answers after hours and at lunch
The two windows when new-patient calls actually happen, and the two your front desk can never cover.
Your front desk is checking in a patient, running a payment, or on hold with an insurer. Meanwhile someone with a toothache is calling, getting voicemail, and booking with the practice down the road. Valence answers every line, books the appointment, and fills the chair a cancellation just emptied.
That number reaches our own receptionist — the same thing we'd build for you. Ask what we charge. Try to book something. Talk over it, change your mind halfway through, ask it something it shouldn't know. Do what a real customer would do and see how it holds up.

A Valence receptionist starts at $200/month. At these numbers, it pays for itself if it saves 1 call a month.
Illustrative only — this uses the numbers you enter, not a claim about your results. Your own call log is the real answer.

Checks real availability by provider and appointment type, then writes it into the system you already use.
A hygiene slot opens at 8 AM. It works your short-call list and fills the chair instead of leaving it empty all day.

Pain, swelling or a knocked-out tooth follows your escalation rules and reaches the on-call number instead of sitting in voicemail overnight.
Supply reps, marketing agencies and "we can get you more patients" cold calls never reach the front desk.

Your practice is a covered entity, and anything we handle on your behalf makes us a business associate. That means a signed BAA before we take a single call — not something bolted on afterwards.
We'll sign one, and we'll tell you plainly which of our upstream vendors are covered by it and which aren't. If a vendor waves this question away, that itself is your answer about them.
No, and it shouldn't. It books, reschedules, gives directions, and answers which plans you participate in. Anything clinical becomes a message for your team.
Anything that sounds like pain, swelling or trauma follows the escalation rules you set rather than being triaged by software.
It can tell callers which plans you're in-network with, and capture the carrier and member ID for your front desk to check.
It does not run a real eligibility check. That stays with your team — we'd rather say so than have a patient turn up expecting coverage they don't have.
Tell us what you run — Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental and similar. Some we can write into directly, some we can only read availability from, and some we can't touch at all.
You'll get a straight answer before you pay for anything. Where we can't write in, the booking arrives as a text and email your front desk can action in one tap.
